Our Mission

The Friends of White Clay Creek State Park is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers. Our mission is the protection and preservation of the park and surrounding creek valley through needs assessment, enhancement projects, public relations, and education.

What We DO

  • Trail building and maintenance 
  • Habitat restoration and reforestation
  • Bird box building and monitoring
  • Nature Center staffing
  • Gardening at Judge Morris Estate 
  • Fund raising at the Carpenter concerts
  • Lead Park activity (e.g., bird or wildflower walk, history talks)
  • Advocacy for land preservation and conservation
